This book is in excellent hands, because Christos Gage is crafting the story.
Right now, I can’t really recommend this book until there is some sort of course correction to make it worthwhile.
Skip this series. Go back and read any of the past series from Jeff Lemire and just spare yourself the boredom here.
Ninja-K has been, without a doubt, the best Valiant book this last year and I would urge everyone to pick up these 14 issues and enjoy them.
I’m convinced that writer Matt Kindt has Superman Syndrome.
Writer Jody Houser is still weaving a great pop culture-infused point of view from Faith, which anyone in geekdom can relate to.
Now Carnage has been informed that he can get more powerful if he rejoins this codex that is in each person’s DNA, with his own.
I’m going to be honest here. I’m not a fan of this book. I’m not a fan of this story.
The art by Francis Portela, with colors by Andrew Dalhouse, and lettering by Dave Sharpe are the visuals we’ve come to expect from this series.
The art by Raul Allen and Patricia Martin is what you got with Secret Weapons, so it feels right at home in this book.
I’m not sure if anything in the comic is going to be echoed in the movie but this is Valiant’s way of creating the excitement.
Gilad goes from looking like a Native American in one panel to Conan the Barbarian in the one below it.

This looks like it will be a fun 4 issue mini-series that just hits all the right marks that a Faith book should hit.
Let the speculation begin as to how our Valiant Universe is going to help protect Livewire from the massing government forces that are out to bring her in.
I think that this is a good beginning to this new arc and after that long flashback arc, it is good to be excited once again for where the story is taking Aric.
The art by Roberto De La Torre and colors by José Villarrubia are beautiful and perfect for this title.
This issue is told from a present perspective after the HW2 has already ended.
I can’t think of a single reason why you shouldn’t be picking up this book right now!
As far as the various Venom series go, I have to say that this is my favorite Venom book so far.
I really liked this issue, I just wish it had been about 20 pages longer to really be able to flesh out the scenes so they didn’t feel so rushed.
The story by Nick Spencer is light, fun, and just an all-around enjoyable read.
Is this event worth the entry fee? That’s going to be an individual answer based on your collecting.
The art by Trevor Hairsine & Ryan Bodenheim looks great.
The next issue concludes Harbinger Wars 2 and I hope it comes and goes quickly.
Without a doubt, this is the BEST book that Valiant is currently putting out.
I’m not sure where this book is headed and that’s part of the joy of it. I’m in it for the fun ride and so far, that’s exactly what it has been.
